A new memorial stele honoring residents who fell during the Great Patriotic War has been unveiled in the park of Shakhovskaya, Moscow Region. The monument commemorates the courage of more than 12,000 residents who went to the front, over 4,000 of whom never returned home.
According to the head of the district, the stele is intended to symbolize strength, unity, and gratitude, serving as a reminder of those whose memory lives on.
• Architect: Ivan Orekhov
• Key element: a custom-made commemorative slab of cast architectural concrete produced by BARKA
We are proud to have contributed to this meaningful place of remembrance. Architectural concrete was chosen intentionally: it is durable, expressive, and well suited for memorial architecture.
Memorial objects require a special level of respect for form and meaning, and this is the approach we follow in all our work.
